Peace Pagoda
Darjeeling Peace Pagoda is the sign of peace in the region and the entire residents of Darjeeling have a belief towards the structure's rich history and the power that enlightens peace and prosperity. It is a Buddhist stupa which is 2.5 km away from Darjeeling Himalayan Railway whose foundation stone was laid down by a Buddhist monk Nichidatsu Fuji in 1972 and was later redesigned as the with pagoda-style in 1992.
Ghoom Monastery
Ghoom Monastery is 6 km away from the main town of Darjeeling where the visitors can easily reach by hiring a taxi. This famous Buddhist monastery is popularly known as Yiga Choeling Monastery and was established by a monk named Sokpa Sherab Gyatso. Inside the Ghoom monastery, the visitors will find the 15 feet high statue of Maitreya Buddha and this monastery is also one of the oldest monasteries of Darjeeling region.
Batasia Loop
Batasia Lopp is one of the most beautiful railway track in the world which is 4 km away from Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) and is situated below the famous Ghoom station. Not only the spiral railway track but also the landscapes that can be seen from here is just spectacular. Batasia Lopp is one of the destinations at the Queen of hills where the tourist dream to relax and enjoy the cool and refreshing air. At the centre of the track, there is a very beautiful green garden along with the popular war memorial.
