Tiger's Nest
Tiger's Nest is one of the most famous holy sites in entire Asia. It is one of the main reason that the tourists visit Bhutan during the holidays and vacation. This beautiful Buddhist monastery is located 900 metres above the Paro Valley. According to many legends of the kingdom, Tiger Nest was built in 1692 and was the area where Guru Padmasambhava did the holy meditation for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours.
Buddha Dordenma Statue
Buddha Doednema Statue is the golden giant statue of Shakyamuni Buddha that has a height of 169 feet. This famous statue is located at Thimphu and it is the pride of the capital. Buddha Dordenma Statue was created while celebrating the 60th anniversary of the fourth king Jigme Singye Wangchuck. The construction of Buddha Dordenma Statue was started in 2006 and it was concluded as the shining gold-gilded statue in 2015.
Chele La Pass
Chele La Pass is a beautiful destination in Bhutan for the trekking lovers. Many visitors choose Chele La Pass for enjoying the adventure of trekking at the kingdom of Bhutan. Chele La Pass is located at an altitude of 3988 metres above sea level and it is 35 km away from Paro and 26 km away from Haa Valley. It is the highest and biggest road pass of Bhutan where the entire view of Paro and Haa valley can be seen from the top.
Rinpung Dzong
Rinpung Dzong is the famous Buddhist monastery located at the Paro District. This dzong highlights the enthralling history of Bhutanese architectural brilliance and cultural richness. This large Dzong was built in the 16th century and the entire area of the dzong is surrounded by many small temples and monasteries. The great Tshechu festival which is celebrated annually can be best experienced at Rinpung Dzong as well.
